To My Dedicated Patients,
The rumors are correct; I have retired from dentistry on June 9, 2009. I want to thank every one of you for your loyalty, respect, camaraderie and friendship over the past thirty five years. I have enjoyed being your dentist, confidant and friend. It saddens me that I was not able to write each one of you a personalized letter but that wasn’t made available to me when I left the office. It was my pleasure to see each of you in my office and watch you grow up, have children and then see them grow up to have children. Wow, when did I get so old!!! I hold all of you deep in my heart and wish you all the best in your future.
It also saddens me to say goodbye to three very special people. First Joyce who 10 years ago pitched in when Jeannine was ill and stayed on to work with me this last decade. Second to my old and dear friend Elaine who was my neighbor 35 years ago and came 15 years ago to be my hygienist when she learned that I was as relaxed and friendly in the office as I was in the neighborhood. Finally to my dear friend Jeannine who started as my dental assistant in 1976 when she was 18 and has been with me my entire career. I could not have asked for a better friend than Jeannine who has been an integral part of whatever success I have achieved.
Just to let you know, I am happy and healthy. I have started my retirement learning that both my daughter Michelle and son-in-law John are expecting AND my son Kenny and daughter-in-law Valerie are expecting my first two grandchildren. I am so proud and excited to become a grandfather and to share the experience with my wife of 38 years Ellen (the new grandma).
Right now I have been out floating around on our boat in Middle River awaiting Ellen’s retirement in July. We are beginning our retirement together with an extended cruise. Then it will be time to hang around for the big events of being grandparents!!!!
